Misty Ridge, the hottest selling new home community in southwest suburban Romeoville, welcomes a new model home this spring.

Beechen & Dill Homes will open the award-winning Aspen model home the weekend of June 1st, Misty Ridge community consultant Jamie Pugh confirmed.

“We’re extremely excited to debut the Aspen as a model at Misty Ridge,” Pugh said. “Since the Aspen debuted as a home plan here, it has been one of our most sought-after plans. Having a model of the Aspen now on-site should only accelerate interest in a home plan that has so much to offer.”

With a base price of $249,990, the Aspen features three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and flexible spaces that provide homebuyers a number of customizable options.

The first floor is highlighted by an open layout in which a gourmet kitchen opens to a spacious family room. A first-floor den, combined living and dining rooms, and powder room provide ample space for everyday life and entertaining, while the two-story entry foyer adds architectural drama.

Contemporary touches fill the Aspen’s second floor, including: an expansive master suite featuring dual vanities and an oversized walk-in closet; two additional bedrooms with walk-in closets; a loft space that can be converted into a fourth bedroom or function as a multi-purpose space; and a second-floor laundry space that ensures everyday convenience.

While the Aspen’s two-story design approaches 2,500 square feet, a full basement arrives standard to provide homebuyers even more flexible living space. Beechen & Dill’s custom homebuilding background, meanwhile, grants homebuyers vast potential to create a new home that fits their precise vision and needs.

“The Aspen is a home that gives comfort and convenience, space and style at every turn,” Pugh said. “When prospective homebuyers walk the model home and see it with their own eyes, they’ll quickly recognize just how special and unique it is.”

The Aspen model arrives at Misty Ridge with a number of industry honors. In September 2011, the SouthWest Suburban Home Builders Association named the Aspen – then a model home at Beechen & Dill’s Creekside Estates community in Lockport – its “Home of the Month.” The home plan also captured the distinguished Silver Key Award from the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago.

“The recognition the Aspen has received is a testament to just how innovative the home plan is,” said Beechen & Dill Homes president Matt Dill, who is no stranger to industry awards himself after being named the Home Builders Association of Illinois’ “Builder of the Year” in 2011.

Like all new Beechen & Dill Homes, the Aspen carries an energy guarantee from Environments for Living, one of that nation’s most stringent high-performance home credentials. At closing, homebuyers receive a certificate guaranteeing the home’s monthly heating and cooling expenses. If those numbers should ever be surpassed, the homeowner receives a check for the difference.

“This is one more way we distinguish Beechen & Dill Homes from the competition and ensure top value for our homebuyers,” Pugh said.

Throughout the month of May, Beechen & Dill Homes will be offering 50% off of all options at Misty Ridge.

Buyers at the 166-home Romeoville-based community can select from one of four home plans ranging in size from 1,900 to 2,655 square feet. Home prices start in the $230,000s.

Romeoville, long tucked in the shadows of its southwest suburban brethren, has emerged a 21st Century gem. In recent years, the village has added new jobs and homes, witnessed rising home sales numbers, and captured awards for its community amenities, including parks and schools.

Romeoville’s momentum extends to its latest endeavor: constructing a downtown area along Route 53. Located just two blocks from Misty Ridge, the new downtown will feature a state-of-the-art 60,000-square foot community center.
